In April of 1966, an El Paso fertilizer salesman by the name of Hal Warren and his crew set out to make a popular commercial film. Armed with $16,000, no professional actors and no professional crew members, they made a film called `Manos: The Hands of Fate`. The film is now regarded as one of the worst films ever made by many critics and historians.

Broken Pencil Editor James King's glowing review of Hotel Torgo can be found in this month's issue. King calls Hotel Torgo "an amazing short documentary" in the film's first Canadian review (the US has been on this for awhile!). Thanks BP
